Holiday season

Holiday Season is here! 2019 is almost over and it is time to make a balance of the year that was and start planning for next year.

2019 – a year of change

For Updated Words, 2019 was a year of change. We started the year with a brand-new image; a new logo and website to go with it. We launched our LinkedIn page and we had a complete overhaul of our online activities.

A more professional, clean image in a much better-looking website was our key focus this year. Our goal was to have a much more appealing website that would bring us more visitors. We certainly achieved that.  But we also needed to change the way we interacted with our visitors so we have also changed our online activities. Since we are not a language school, we discontinued our regular language questions and challenges to a much more professional type of activity. We started publishing weekly articles showcasing our services and skills. These are more in-sync with the work we do and are definitely more appealing to our possible clients.

In November, Updated Words suffered another big change. Its co-founder Inês Lopes Bridges left the team to pursue another career path. After 10 years of great collaboration, it was time to follow separate professional paths, while our friendship remained as strong as ever. I’m now stirring the boat on my own.

Plans for 2020

I’m planning lots of things for next year. I will not talk about them yet as I want to announce them in January only. However, I can say it will be a great challenge for me and I hope a very interesting and exciting one for all my clients. I am very excited about it and I hope you will be too.

Holiday season closure and season’s greetings

I would like to inform all our clients that I will be on holidays from Friday the 20th of December 2019 until Monday the 20th of January 2020. I’d like to thank all my clients for their preference this year.

Lastly, I want to wish all my clients, colleagues and readers a very happy holiday season and a very prosperous and successful new year.

See you all in 2020!
